PasteTheme is the free theme framework your AI builds on.
Your AI writes a section of a web page. You paste it into a page. It fills the screen. Three steps:
How to change this: this is PasteTheme’s start page. It steps aside when you choose a page of your own in Settings, Reading, or when you publish your first post. To change its words, open Appearance, Editor, Templates, Front Page.

1. Ask your AI for a section
Copy this prompt into the AI you use. Fill in the blanks in capitals.
Write a hero section for [ YOUR BUSINESS ]. We do [ WHAT YOU DO ] for [ WHO IT IS FOR ]. Write a headline under eight words, one or two sentences and one button. Keep it one <section> with its own CSS inside a <style> tag.
How to change this: ask for any other section the same way. Change “a hero section” to what you need: prices, reviews, a contact form.
A services section
Write a services section for [ YOUR BUSINESS ]. We offer [ YOUR SERVICES ] to [ WHO IT IS FOR ]. Give each service a short heading and one sentence, and end with one button. Keep it one <section> with its own CSS inside a <style> tag.
How to change this: fill in the blanks with what you offer. Ask for a price beside each service, or for more of them, in the same words.
A contact section
Write a contact section for [ YOUR BUSINESS ]. Show [ YOUR EMAIL ], [ YOUR PHONE ] and [ YOUR HOURS ] as text and links, with one short line inviting people to get in touch. No form. Keep it one <section> with its own CSS inside a <style> tag.
How to change this: fill in the blanks with your own details. The prompt asks for no form because the theme does not send one: a form needs your form service’s code or PasteTheme Plugin.
2. Paste it here
Go to Pages, Add Page. WordPress offers patterns for the new page: choose “Paste your AI’s section”. It is a Custom HTML block.
Click the block, then Edit code. Paste what your AI wrote in place of the line, then Update. A section pasted this way runs edge to edge.
How to change this: open the page, click the block, then Edit code. Change the HTML, or paste a new section over it.
3. Make it editable
PasteTheme Plugin turns a pasted section into fields you edit in the editor: click a word, type the new one. It is $4.99 the first year, then $9.99 a year. Visit plugin site
How to change this: without the plugin, a section changes in its HTML (step 2). With it, the words and pictures change where you see them on the page.
The padlock, free
When a browser shows “Not secure” beside your address, your host has no certificate for it. Cloudflare’s free plan can stand in front of your site and give it one:
- Make a free Cloudflare account, choose Onboard a domain, type your address and pick the Free plan. Keep the records it finds.
- Cloudflare gives you two name servers. Where you bought your address, replace its name servers with those two (turn DNSSEC off there first if it is on). The change can take up to two days.
- In Cloudflare, open SSL/TLS, Overview and choose the encryption mode: Full (strict) when your host has a certificate for your address, Flexible when it has none.
- With Flexible, add these lines to wp-config.php, above the line that says to stop editing, so WordPress knows a visitor came in over HTTPS:
if ( 'https' === ( $_SERVER['HTTP_X_FORWARDED_PROTO'] ?? '' ) ) {
$_SERVER['HTTPS'] = 'on';
}
Then, in Settings, General, start both addresses with https:// and save.
How to change this: the same steps are in the theme’s readme. To take this part off the start page, open Appearance, Editor, Templates, Front Page.
